THE CHALLENGE
The Intermediate Software Developer designs, implements and verifies software running on Worldplay’s systems. The main focus of the software is the integration of multiple systems using internal and third-party APIs.
THE ROLE
- Integrating systems using internal and third-party APIs
- Participate in all phases of the development process
- Stay up to date on web development technologies
- Write/update documentation
- Task generation and estimation from requirements
YOUR SKILLSET
- Ability to develop and implement web application functionality as necessary to meet requirements and design
- Ability to effectively evaluate tools and technology
- Intermediate to advanced JavaScript skills
- Basic to Intermediate HTML/CSS skills
- Basic to Intermediate database skills
- Front end development and UX experience highly desirable
- Knowledge of other programming languages desirable
- Experience working with Agile methodologies
- A great work ethic, healthy sense-of-humor, and a deep desire to produce quality code are all must haves!
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- B.Sc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
Experience
- 3+ years development experience in web application frameworks
- 3+ years development experience integrating with Cloud Services like AWS or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with web video frameworks and video players
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience creating and implementing web application APIs
- Experience researching and evaluating technologies and tools
- Experience with Git or other revision control system
- Experience working with Agile methodologies
